Fat Tuesday

Lent is not part of our Christian heritage, but we do fast. Even though we don't find Lent in the Bible, it is not a bad idea. And some of us do give up one thing or another for the season. However, all of us enjoy celebrating Fat Tuesday, or Pancake Day. Whatever you call it, the purpose of which is to rid your house of all the ingredients you don't want to eat during Lent.

For several years now, since we discovered this tradition, we have gone to Bob Evans for pancakes on Fat Tuesday. Being Tuesday, it always falls on the same day as our Ladies' Bible Class. This is our bunch for lunch this year. Our youngest reveler being little Lincoln. I guess there wouldn't be many people in the world who wouldn't like these plates of blueberry pancakes or blueberry crepes. Look at the smiles they put on our faces. Another year, another pound.
