Seventeen Months Old

Caleb  can keep up a marathon type pace. Not a toddler, but a  runner. He's not helter skelter, but seems to be concentrating on getting the job done, whatever it might be. He finishes one task and is on to another.  No breaks, no questions.  It's like he instinctively knows the next step.  There's no need for a guide when Caleb is there.  Just follow him...if you can keep up with a 17 month old.

The Akron zoo seemed to intrigue him.  There were so many new things to see and do and he didn't want to miss anything.

God forbid anyone ever try to dumb down this fellow. He is already thinking for himself. We must not let him  be hampered by stuffing him into a one size fits all classroom, where the smartest and brightest must slow down so that the slowest is accommodated.  We must not allow him to be placed in a school where substance has been replaced by feelings and all are encouraged to conform rather than to excel.

If you have a child or a grandchild, know your schools! It's a matter of life or death of  our country. If our children can't keep up with others around the world, it will be the death blow to our nation.  We would never recover.
