Clear Water

These are some of my most recent pictures of our grandson Caleb, taken by his mama on July the 23rd.

We are so happy that she can be there with him as he discovers the world around him and learns, learns, learns. I feel so sorry for those mothers who think they must leave their children with others, so that they can  provide 'things' for them. Expensive sneakers are not mandatory or even good for a child sometimes. A more expensive house is not really important to a child's development. Those happy times with parents who love them mean everything and will not be forgotten. They provide memories worth more than gold.

Just being at home, learning to do normal household chores is important and can be made joyful. There are many things to learn nearby. Libraries are free. City parks are free.

Often, a tight budget is needed for a mother to stay home. But sometimes, a mother makes so little that if you figure giving up a few things like eating out frequently, buying more and nicer clothes, maybe even   a second car, the family can experience the joy of raising their own child. And when there is more than one child, it can be a major savings on child care for the mother to stay home.

Yes, it can be more work than going to a job, but it is much more rewarding in the long run. And depending on her and her husband's attitude, can be less stressful.

Oh, and did I mention.  The housework does not have to go undone, unless that is not a priority.

I feel that our nation needs to be turned around. We are facing a catastrophe if we don't reach our children and teach them the values we wish them to have before they enter school. For one reason or another, they are not learning them in most schools these days.

The Bible admonishes us to teach our children:
Deuteronomy 11:19
Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
