First Halloween

This is Maggie's first Halloween. She is dressed as a movie star.

Sweet Innocence

Many of us are not into the spooky side of Halloween. We prefer the cute little kids dressed as pleasant characters. It is fun to see them choose what they want to be and carry  a bag from place to place to collect sweet treats. It is a happy time...not scary...not at all like some of the terrible things that go on with adults who are totally into grotesque and seeming devil worshipping activities. In my opinion, and I'm entitled to it, lol  Halloween has gotten totally out or control in some areas.  I may look like a witch, but I would distance myself from those who practice such ungodly behavior. Why?

What does the Bible say about witches?

Deuteronomy 18:9-11

New International Version (NIV)

Occult Practices

When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there.10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

It is also addressed in the New Testament:

Galatians 5:19-21
New International Version (NIV)
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Why would we pretend to be something God detests?

Hot Tub

Cutting the day short, but have to post another picture from Caleb's family trip to Vail.

Do you think he likes that hot tub? If you've been tuned in, you realize he likes it much better than he did ours this past summer when he was frightened by the water jets.

It is Halloween. Today at Curves we were treated to a party by the owner. It was quite a treat. She is a great business person, who keeps her clients happy. Anyway, we were to wear costumes. I didn't have anything like that. Haven't been to a Halloween party is years. But, thinking creatively,  I drug some things out of my closet and went as an OLD teenager...now that was real scary.  so scary in fact, that I can't bring myself to post my picture...

VEX Robotic Competition

At three, Caleb is starting early. I'm not sure this really had anything to do with the robotic competition, but that is where he was and this was the task he was given.     Then he was given an opportunity to prepare it for hanging. He looks quite pleased; and he should be. I like what he did. It showed symmetry.

New information: Caleb was at the first ever NoCo Mini Maker Faire in Loveland, Colorado.

I pray as he grows and matures, he will have the opportunity to succeed as opposed to being schooled in what the state wants him to do and be...like in communist countries that have failed to  give their citizens a feeling of  worth. They have been taught to conform instead of  to do their best.

We are heading in that direction under the current leadership. CORE is the beginning of the indoctrination. Please pay attention to what is happening in your children's schools, especially in the classrooms of those who have no way to know what they are being taught is senseless and destructive.

The Perfect Day

It is no secret that Fall is my favorite season of the year. And today was the perfect fall day. It was comfortable to be outdoors with a light jacket or sweater. The sun was warm. The colors were bright.  Here is another view from our backyard. This time, we are looking back to the southwest where just one month ago I took the dreamy picture I posted yesterday. These colors have burst forth in just the last few days.

It is a pure delight these days. It is also a direct contrast to when I look at the news. All I see through my disgust is bright red...debt, debt and growing debt with no control, no restraint.

Well it seems that finally the newsmen are realizing what a mess the new 'healthcare' debacle is...now that it is too late, now that it is the law of the land and we can't do a thing about it, but squirm.  I'm hoping that finally people have learned their lessons and that we will be running to the polls in droves next time we get a chance to yank these people out of their plush offices and throw them out on the street, so that 'our president's new military' can take care of them, like they plan to take care of us if we make waves.

Does it sound like I'm upset? I am, but I can adjust. I've lived a lifetime of adaptation. But there are younger people with their lives ahead of them who who surely suffer the loss of freedom and the cost of a big government.

May the good Lord be with us and protect us from ourselves...our enemies are among us.

Tranquility

I like to use wordle.net for word art. Today I was able to guide their making of this art for the layout. I like the colors used, the font and the design. It works well with the quietness of the  picture taken from our backyard toward the southwest.

Tranquility. It was a lovely morning, quiet morning with the ducks who had probably visited feeders in our neighbor's yard next door.  The picture was taken near the end of September.   Even though it is now fall, there isn't  much difference in the scene today. The trees in the area across the lake haven't changed  much. But our oak trees above are  full of brownish leaves. Most have not yet fallen. They seem to hang on a long, long time... some through winter.

However, there is a much more dramatic look now, one month later, looking toward the northwest from close to the same area.

Praise be to God, creator of the universe in all it's glory.

He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

EYES?

Remember when she came to our house? It was my birthday, June 8th. She weighed about 2 1/2  pounds.  She was just a little ball. Now look at her...full grown at 10 pounds. She seems to have lost something as well. We can't see her eyes. Actually, I know they are in there. Every morning Maggie asks me to wash her face. Then against her wishes, I pull her hair back out of her eyes and put a rubber band around it to keep it off her face.  Sometimes I do that twice a day. But invariably, she manages to remove it and free her hair. I'm anxious for the day when she decides it is too much trouble to take it down or grows comfortable with it.

No more comments tonight. Please pray that God sees fit to save our nation from this dictator.

Little Cameraman

A family with three 'photographers' is not likely to miss many good pictures.  And the Rockys provide a beautiful landscape.  I want  to thank you all for taking such lovely photos and letting me have  them for my layouts. I am also thankful for Photoshop Elements which  makes it possible to 'doctor up' photos in so many ways. Sound like Thanksgiving?

Well to many each year when they claim Earned Income Tax Credit when  they don't really deserve it, it is Christmas when they get a nice big gift from those of us who pay our taxes. It is reported that 30% of the claims are fraudulent, but that the IRS is not able to correct that. Now remember...that is a small problem. Can you imagine those same people running the healthcare system? YIKES! It will be at least a thousand times worse than the problems with the website right now.

In case that isn't enough to scare you, I am adding the next bit of information in honor of Halloween:

Change is coming, be prepared!   Read this email I received today.

On October 12, 2013, ABC’s Dianne Sawyer brought us a video of a 9th, yes 9th, General fired from the military this week. It’s even reaching some of the more liberal stations and begging them to ask the question, “What is going on?” It seems President Obama is preparing what he calls “my military” for his version of the final solution. With all the documentation we have, it looks as though he is purging the military for the next step.

We have now seen this official President Obama temper-tantrum in action this week. But is it a temper-tantrum or is there
a method to his madness?

We have been warned by a Pentagon Official to expect radical changes. You heard of our dire warnings of Chinese Economists planning to foreclose and forming the TPP Treaty that could set a global economy in motion. We have the very real possibility of 16 U.S. States being shutdown and handed over due to debt in this mess. We even have a CIA whistle blower warning us that President Obama wants to radically take over power. People are crying out, where is our military in this mess?

Well, there seems to be some very credible evidence that since last year and through this year that there has been a “litmus test”given to American Military Officers. The Main point of that test, “Would you fire on an American Citizen?” If you say no, then as Donald Trump would say, “Your fired!” Since the beginning of the year these retired officer’s have came forward with ““President Obama is preparing for “President Obama is preparing for waragainst the U.S.”.  We even know Dr. Garrow and others confirmed this litmus test. Then we have heard President Obama himself talk about “My Military”.

And this isn’t all. This strange chain of firings from the Military is so bizarre and so unheard of that even Dianne Sawyer of ABC news reached out to cover it when the 9th, yes 9th, Military Commanding Officer was relieved of duty in less than a year. This doesn’t include the long list last year, this is just the nine individuals this year alone.

Gen HamGeneral Carter Hamm, United States Army-Served as head of the United States African Command. Was in charge of the US African command during the fateful night of September 11, 2012 when the lives of four American citizens was taken in the Embassy in Benghazi. Hamm was extremely critical  of our Commander and Chief and stated he lied about not having reinforcements in the area on that night. Hamm “resigned and retired” on April of 2013.
thumb_RDML Gaouette

Rear Admiral Charles Gaouette/United States Navy-Commander of Carrier Strike Group Three. His most recent activity served as Deputy Commander of the US Naval Forces, US Central Command. He was in charge of Air Craft Carriers in the Mediterranean Sea the night of September 11, 2012. He testified before the hearing committee and said that there may not have been time to get the flight crews there but left the door open on if told when the events took place if that he could have had the aircraft launched upon cross-examination by Rep. Tray Gowdey. Recently fired from the Administrative post and relieved of Duty by the Obama Administration for “utterance of a racial slur”.
ralphbaker

Major General Ralph Baker, United States Army- Major General Baker served as the Commander of the Joint Task Force-Horn at Camp Lamar, Djibouti, Africa. Was also involved in some aspect with the incident September 11, 2012, being under the African Command. Had said he believed attack helicopters could have made it in time. Relieved of command and fired for groping a civilian (no assault charges or sexual misconduct charges filed with JAG)

bryanrobertsBrigadier General Bryan Roberts, United States Army-General Roberts took command of  Fort Jackson in 2011. Was considered a rising star in his field. He served in Iraq during his service as the Commanding Officer of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, and was the Deputy Commanding General of the United States Army Recruiting Command, Fort Knox, KY. Relieved of Duty and Fired for Adultery. While this is still on the books in the United States Code of Military Justice, it has rarely been used since President Bill Clinton’s indiscretions.
MG_Gregg_Sturdevant

Major General Gregg A. Sturdevant, United States Marine Corps-Director of Strategic Planning and Policy of  for the United States Pacific Command and Commander of the aviation wing at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. Highly decorated soldier with two Naval and Marine Commendations and two Naval and Marine Good Conduct medals. He also has an Air Medal with a gold star. He served honorably and distinctively. He had asked about supplies to his command. He was one of two commanding officers suddenly relieved of command and fired from the military for failure of proper force protection.
MG_Charles_Gurganus

Major General Charles M.M. Gurganus, United States Marine Corps- Regional Commander in the Southwest and I Marine Expeditionary Force (a forward or frontal division) in Afghanistan. Also Highly decorated with a Defense Superior Service Medal, two Legion of Merritt w/Valor, and three Meritorious Service Commendations. Major General C.M.M.Gurganus had questioned the use of Afghanistan patrols along side American patrols after two officers were executed at their desk and a platoon was lead into an ambush on the front lines. Was the other commander relieved of duty for failure of proper force protection.
220px-LTG_David_Huntoon

Lieutenant General David Holmes Huntoon Jr, United States Army-Served as the 58th Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.   He had graduated from the same academy in 1973 and had served in Senior Planning and Education Services through the majority of his career. He was “censored” for “an investigation” into an “improper relationship” according to The Department of Defense.  Nothing was released to the nature of the improper relationship. Nothing was even mentioned if an actual investigation even took place.
thumb_VADM Tim Giardina

Vice Admiral Tim Giardina, United States Navy-Deputy Commander of the United States Strategic Command. Commander of the Submarine Group Trident, Submarine Group 9 and Submarine Group 10, where every single one of the 18 Nuclear Submarines with Nuclear Trident Missiles of those three groups were in his command. This commander earned six Legions of Merit, Two Meritorious Service Medals, two Joint Service Commendation Medals, and several other medals, ribbons and decorations in his illustrious career. He was removed from service and fired from the military for the charge of using counterfeit poker chips (not making that up).

GetFile_xlargeLast on the list, Major General Michael Carry, United States Air Force-Commander 20th Air Force in charge of 9,600 people and 450 Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) at three operational wings and served in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He was Fired October 11, 2013, for “Personal Misbehavior” is what was told to ABC News. He and Giardina were both the two top Commanders over the United States Nuclear Arsenal before their dismissal within 48 hours of each other.

As ABC News reports, this is an extremely alarming rate and one of the biggest and fastest purges of military personnel ever recorded.  It apparently is such a shock at the rate even for a long time veteran of reporting the news as Dianne Sawyer, because at one point she gets heated saying two Commanders of the Nuclear Command.

You don’t put people who are not very intelligent and without a squeaky clean record over that area of the Military.  It is enough to make the hardest and staunchest of supporters as the ABC news crew to pause and ask themselves, “what step is he planning?”.

Rocky Mountains

Here stands Beth,  six months pregnant and smiling. I can imagine God smiled when he "birthed" these gorgeous mountains.  These peaks declare His handiwork.

The larger picture here looks three dimensional to me. Hope to see this in person some day. I'll have to put it on my bucket list.

Now if I can only stay healthy enough to make the trip.  It could get hard...especially  since the new
'miracle' healthcare is having such trouble. Can you imagine how it will be run, if they can't even  get a simple task like signing up for it accomplished in a reasonable amount of time?  Remember, all our health records will be on the national computer files.  And since many doctors are retiring rather than submit to inferior practices and others are not entering med schools, they will have to use nurses of some type to check the website for a diagnosis...it could get even worse.  Of course we persons over 70, who are now considered 'units' may be in luck, if they can't find our files or they happen to confuse patients.  Just think how many John Smiths there might be in the registry. Instead of a cure for our problems, it is a big headache.

What Does the Fox Say?

What Does a Fox Say?  I'm still not sure I could tell you after listening to Mason's song. But it certainly was a hit...and very well done. The pictures are not great. They were stills taken from a video.

I might have more to say, if my brain were working.  since it is not,  I dare not say more.

Thank you for checking in. I'll pray for you if you'll pray for me.

Nice Vibrato

Ashley is performing in Les Miserable this fall. She has a small part, but it has given her the opportunity to hear the wonderful music as practice progresses. She has enjoyed it so much that she can now sing along.

These pictures are from her singing Castle on a Cloud in the church talent show. Her vibrato is surprising beautiful for a girl of 11, or even much older. I was impressed that she picked it up so well without voice lessons.

While some of us are still growing and learning, more of us have quit and have blinded ourselves  so that we are allowing our nation to be subverted by socialists who have no concept of debt.  While we are busy trying to put healthcare under government control, that same government has let the Post Office default on a $5.6  billion payment for the healthcare of its future retirees.

Now, I hope you can laugh at this.

No Way!

Why did he ever  even think he  could ride Caleb's bike? He is 6'2"! But there he goes.

This made me laugh and I love that. I really needed it this evening.

Today was a terribly no good day for me. However, in the midst of it, I had to stop and think of my blessings.  I have all my limbs. I have food to eat and clothes to wear and a nice place to live. I love Ohio in the fall. I haven't completely lost my mind. I knew God would get me through this.

A friend  told me of a pet doctor who was reasonable. I could tell that when I drove into the parking lot. It did not look like a spa...or vacation spot. But I need to go back for the story.

I could no longer fit the puppy in the cat's travel cage without her being scrunched up and panicky. So I put her in the back seat where I couldn't see what she was doing. That turned out to be okay, because she yelped the whole 30 minutes to the neighboring town. All along there was no sound on my GPS , unless it was drowned out by yelps, and I could only watch a dot on a map without street names. Oh what fun it is to ride in a car that doesn't know it's way. Finally, being a female, I stopped for directions...and found out the office was closed for lunch. No way! It was 2:30! I had another 1/2 hour to waste before we could see the doctor. The dog was slow to calm down, but finally did by the time we could go inside. Meanwhile I stood out in the cold wind with no jacket so that she could do any business she might want to do on the grass.

Inside and speaking with the girls who worked there, things got worse. I had forgotten to take along her papers. Not that she is an alien, but I had been told they needed to see her health records...from the three  doctors who has seen her so far. They only had one opening for a spay and that was too late for her to recuperate for a driving trip we had planned some time ago.  And she couldn't be scheduled for that because it was first come, first served and she didn't have her papers. I would have to go back home, get the papers, then drive back there...another hour on the road. At least they wouldn't be at lunch then. But they couldn't guarantee that space would be still available when I returned. So being the mature lady that I am. I marched my puppy out to the car, put her in the back seat, got into the front seat. put my head on the steering wheel and cried.

I forget to say, I hadn't had anything to eat besides a soy drink for breakfast.

When I shamed myself into straightening out, I drove back home in heavy traffic with my sweet puppy bellyaching in the back seat. At least I knew my way. When I drove into my driveway, it was such a relief, even though I still hadn't accomplished the mission. She still didn't have that much needed appointment. In the garage, she began to settle down. But when I opened the back car door, I found she had thrown up everything she had eaten before 4:30.

And this is nothing like the health care which is in a monumental mess with it's computer system.

Fishing the Florida Coast

Our granddaughter, Brittanie had the opportunity to travel to Florida and visit with her  dad, our son. This fishing trip was one of the things she got to do while she was there.  Now that is one  BIG fish. And of course there were others as well. I would guess she was the best looking fisherman around that day.

I can't let myself stay away from the news.  We can all relax now. It is for sure. The end is near.. I'm basing that opinion on a decision in California. They have mandated fertility coverage for same sex couples. Are we a mixed up bunch of people, or what.?

One of My Favorites

I spend a scandalous amount of time sitting here at the computer...mostly because I really enjoy the creativity it allows me. I've painted in oils and with color pencils and 'loved' them both; but I've dropped both for digital scrapbooking. Been at it for several years now and just occasionally  make a layout that just thrills my soul. I sit back and wonder how I ever came up with it. This one of Caleb and his dog and buddy, Rado, is an example of that. I started it one day last week and just gave it finishing touches today.

I am blessed to get great pictures from my daughter-in-law, who uses her phone regularly to capture every day activities and special events. She took this picture one morning while Caleb was still in his pjs. It reeks of true love.

Rado had been used to being an 'only child' for years. But he has adjusted quite well. He does love his boy, whom he just tolerated for some time.

There are some things that we must tolerate. One that is driving me to distraction is the Healthcare  website news. There just isn't a thing I can do about it.  I don't have to deal with it. Thank the Lord. But, I am feeling sorry for those who do...especially the people who have found their healthcare protection double in price...the same ones who couldn't afford it before. Now, it is even harder for them and they will be fined for failing to pay the cost.

I suppose they could just pretend they were like the government and borrow money to pay the fine.
Would you like to loan them the money? I don't suppose they would be able to find anyone who would be willing to loan them money.

And there is the next thing that is bothering me right now. Soon, we won't be able to find anyone who is willing to lend us money, unless of course we put up collateral...maybe  the Statue of Liberty, or our oil fields.

It seems to me like one day I opened my eyes and we were being governed by a bunch of adolescents who had taken over the government as a big practical joke and everyone else was either ignoring them, while hoping they would just go away or were having a great time laughing as things got fouled up.

The world, that has already dealt with the socialists, is trying to warm us and we just won't listen.

So,  I fiddle with the computer.  If it weren't for my hope in God and his saving grace...

Big Pumpkin

It is fall and pumpkins are plentiful. Caleb found his favorite a week ago.  Today he was building a snowman.

One can expect severe weather shifts in CO. But with those strange weather variations, it is still a wonderful place to live. The sun is practically always looking down through a bright blue sky.

It was fair weather here today, but it looks like rain most of the day tomorrow.

Sitting by the lake in the sun and watching the seagulls and other wildlife help me keep my sanity these  days.  There is so much to trouble one...if his eyes are open and he accepts the fact that there are  those who are determined to bring us  under their control. They are organized and well on their way.  Glenn Beck points out the latest part of the plan he has uncovered  here: Do your children a favor and check it out.

Backseat Driver

Rado keeps his eyes on the road, while Caleb peeks at the camera. It was a wonderful family vacation. Everyone was onboard...and  would literally be boarding a train while away, a train in the Rockies.

We had wanted to go as well, but something changed our plans...it may have been the puppy. Ron and I  are  sorry to have missed it, but were  happy the kids could go and take pictures...lots of pictures.  :)

This is getting to be a habit, and I apologize  for not having the stamina to stay up and blog about the happenings in Washington. It is a burden to even think about it these days.

I pray we,  as a nation, will return to the creator God so that He will return to blessing us.

Special Boy

I'm thinking about this fellow tonight. I think he is very special.

Doc Is In

I've not known what was going on between Rado and Caleb here, but I like to imagine Caleb was playing doctor and that he is telling Rado everything will be all right in time. He is so gentle with Rado. It is so sweet.

I doubt we'll encourage the boy to go into medicine. Don't suppose there will be many going into medicine  now that medicine will be administered by the government and computers will do much of the work...like diagnose, medicate and eradicate those whom the panels decide are not worth the money.

ORU NEOH

A couple of weeks ago, the ORU NEOH girls traveled down to Wooster to visit the Pine Tree Barn, a place we have loved seeing year after year. Jane could not go because she was babysitting grandchildren. I missed to stay with my puppy. I must admit, I really, really wanted to go.  Next time, I just might hire a baby sitter for the dog. Not sure how that will work out, but we'll see. Of course by the time they make a trip like that again, the puppy will be grown and easier to leave.

I received  a question in my email today that I hadn't yet thought about. Now, my brain is buzzing ...What in the world are we thinking???

This is the question...We hear a lot about Social Security running out of money.  Why don't we ever hear about welfare running out of money?  Working Americans paid their Social Security taxes, but welfare recipients pay no taxes.

Queen For a Day

It is all in fun, but it does give us a good introduction to those we do not know well. Paulette had each one of us in Ladies' Class write out answers to several questions about our lives. Then each class day, she chooses a lady to be our Queen for a Day. We get to sit in front of the group, wearing the tiara, and answer questions about ourselves. This was my week and here is a picture to help sear this into my memory. lol

It's one of the better things to happen this week. We've had bad news from a government that seeks to control us. It is good to make some more favorable memories now and then.

Leah and Friends

I'm going way back to summer with this one. Leah kept busy with friends.

It has been a while since she got her degree. And now that fall and more serious days are here, she is back in school, working on her master's.  I wish her well.

It isn't easy for youth these days. Many must continue to depend on parents for their livelihood at a time when they need to feel independence and the freedom to do their own thing...to make their own ways.

Our people are being 'bled to death'. We've over unionized our workers and driven jobs right out of our country. Then we have to send money out of our country to obtain things we had made ourselves. Naturally they cost more, if for no other reason than transportation.  But of course there are many more factors. People are out of work and being taxed at very high rates. Inflation has set in and we are at the mercy of those who really don't like what we stand for...liberty.

Arising in this nation are those who have had enough. They are thinking like revolutionaries. God save us all.

Let There Be Light

I didn't get hold of this picture made in June until recently. I love the light playing over Caleb as he sits under a structure on the playground.

As I look around this fallen world, knowing that much activity is saved for darkness these days...but  worse, things that should be done under the cover of night are sometimes being done blatantly in bright daylight.   I'm praying God will shine His light brightly and bring us to the light.

We are becoming a joke around the world these days as our president tries to snow others as he has the naive unlearned  at home.

A Repetitive 'Mind'

One commented to a friend, "you could walk in the pool of his ideas and never even get your feet wet".

This comes from Danish TV. It is embarrassing. This man cannot function without a script and/or teleprompter!

Happiness is a Cheerful Companion

It is great to see the relationship grow between our three year old grandson and his dog who was an 'an only child' for years before Caleb came along.

Golden Grab

This is a big deal to me. A Golden Grab...I'd never heard it called that before, probably because I've really not been around baseball that much.

It's  kind of like a president reaching into the Congressional realm and grabbing some power for himself.  Even though it doesn't belong to him and everyone knows it doesn't belong to him, he gets away with it and carries it back to the White House.

Don't get me wrong here. While I'm a little excited about the newly acquired baseball, I am not the least bit happy about the loss of power Congress has been suffering.  You see, our government only works properly with a balance of power as it was designed by our forefathers.

Just LIke Old Friends

If this picture piques your interest, you might want to read the journaling. It has been a journey for these two this summer. One 14 the other a puppy, they have learned to love each other.

Our congressmen are fighting like cats and dogs right now over our national budget.  I hope and pray that they will listen to the people and not increase the debt limit. We would be truly incompetent to continue running up bills for our grandchildren to pay.  I pray we will become financially responsible.

And please pray that all will be civil. We have been told that the Grand Canyon park has been closed by officials from the government, even though local businesses have agreed to pay the costs of it remaining open. It is just a power play by those who want to punish the people and make it look like the House is trying to hurt our citizens.   It is the president and his staff that decide where to cut back.  While they are barring entrance to our parks, we are still supporting illegal aliens with checks. It doesn't make any sense at all.

Worth 12,000 Words

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, this layout is worth 12,000.  Gladly, I am off the hook now to fill this blog with any explanation. You will, however, need to click on the layout to enlarge it in order to come up with your 12,000 balloon meet words. Some words you will need to use are: John, Beth, Caleb, camera and balloons.

More complicated things are going on in our nation this week. The promised Obamacare is now welcoming you to sign up for your marvelous new insurance.  Many are finding it not only complicated and time consuming to sign up, but extremely disappointing in that it generally gives one less coverage at a super high cost. Those who have had insurance are finding the new plan costs twice as much as what they did have and covers much less. Those who did not have insurance...and these are the people the plan was supposed to be a godsend for...cannot afford it at all. It would be impossible for them to pay such outlandish costs.

You might want to search the internet yourself for more information. There are LOTS of truly disappointed people out there. Sadly they already voted for this president. It is too late for them to do much of anything...until the next election. And I imagine that one will not be a free election like we are used to here in the states. They are already trying to legalize hoards of people, hoping they will vote for the party who promises to give the have nots everything the haves now own.

Caleb Had a Little Goat

As some of you know, I try to  post a new layout every day.  Many times they are so so. Seldom do I sit back and sigh at what I think is a masterpiece.  Don't get critical now. It is my opinion and I'm entitled to it. lol

I have lots of pictures to work with right now, including vacation pictures taken by John and Beth in picturesque settings like Vail, Colorado. I am anxious to use those beautiful  pictures, but this one has been catching my eye. Every time I passed it by, I wanted to go back to it.  Well, today I pulled it up and it made me think of Mary Had a Little Lamb.  So I went with that.  Then I pulled up some more vintage looking elements for the background, plus a little 'aged' tape to finish off that antique look.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I.

I earnestly pray that this little fellow is able to grow up free to go his own way and free to worship our Lord, Jesus Christ. We could never do too much to curtail the damage that is being done to our Republic. Pray that our God in heaven will see  fit to save our nation as a safe place for Christians.

In the Bible , the book of Jonah tells a story of the city, Nineveh. God said he would destroy it because of their wickedness. He called upon Jonah to go to the city and warn the people of the impending danger. Jonah did not like the Ninevites, so he tried to hide from God so that he would not have to go. However, that was a very bad idea. (No one can hide from the creator.) Jonah ended up being swallowed by a whale. When he was thrown up on land, Jonah continued his quest to hide.  But in the end, he did go to Nineveh and told the men and women that God would destroy them if they didn't repent and turn from their ways. They heeded the warning and God did not harm them.

Please turn your faces to God and ask Him what it will take to save our nation.

Treasure Golf Rivalry

It seems like I should have posted this layout before, but I can't find evidence that I actually did. So he  goes... pictures to show you Lauren's and Pat's day at Treasure Golf.  Looks like they may a bit competitive, right?

Something like the House and the Senate.  The House is trying to get this government healthcare defunded, since the people don't want it.  But the Senate are old died in the wool liberals who want to spend, spend, spend...like the more we spend, the more we have. I'm not sure who ever came up with that theory, but certainly anyone who runs even a household knows that if you spend all your money, you are in big trouble. You can't spend money you don't have.

The House said they would go along with the healthcare mandates, if the President and  the Senate would make sure all Americans get the same advantage as businesses and those in government positions. As of now, they both get exemptions that everyday citizens don't.
