In the Kitchen

When the Diller gals get together in the kitchen, they make everyone happy with their nice looking food that is very tasty.  The kids are more than willing to test taste it all. Look at those beautiful smiles.

Crazy Hair Day

Caleb and Oliver, with the help of their mother, pulled off this stunt for Crazy Hair Day quite well.
It was fun for the kids. The best part of it was, they could enjoy it one day and have normal hair the very next day. The color rinsed out easily.

Lost and Found

While I was going through some old files on my computer today, I came across a layout from October of 2017 that should have been published 10 books ago. I hadn't even missed it, but when I found it, I was delighted. It is one of those layouts that I'l cherish forever. This is Ashley and Mason in true form and I love it.

In case you can't read the small print, this is what it says. "Mason: Wow! You are tiny!
Ashley: But...but...you have shoes on!

Triplets are so much fun, even when you just see two at a time.

Now that I've found this,  I will put it in the book I'm working on right now. Hopefully that will be published in about one month.

So glad I found this  and now that I know they can get lost, I'll be much more careful.

Kiki, Lucky and Izzy

Our daughter's family includes three cats who dressed for the Christmas season this year. While this layout was meant to show their  outfits for the season, it  turned into a reprimand for Izzy when  I saw the crumpled Kit Kat wrapper on the floor beside him.  Even though I can read my dog's mind, I really don't know how a cat thinks, but I just had to guess what he would have 'said' had I scolded him for eating the Kit Kat.  Actually now that I think of it and realize the difference in cats and dogs, he would have probably 'said', "Yes  I ate that Kit Kat! What's it to you? This is my house!!  My food! Get lost!"

But doesn't his face look too sweet to be thinking that?

So, I had fun making this, but now I have more information...and it will definitely make a big difference in this layout...to be fixed later. Guaranteed though, it won't be as much fun next time.

First of all, all the cats are females...has to be why the little one with the Kit Kat wrapper looks so sweet, right?  And she likes to play with empty wrappers, so they give them to her to watch her bat them around on the floor.

Oh, and they can't read or spell! Who would have known?

For Better or Worse

The phrase for better or worse can be used in more than just wedding vows.  Our whole lives are like that. No one has it good all the time, not even our Ava. She leads a good life, had a great Christmas, but now she is in bed with the flu. We are praying she gets better soon. We are also thankful it is not the scary corona virus.

Hot Chocolate

While we avoid StartBucks, we know others who love it. One of them is our handsome grandson, Mason.  Funny thing is, he doesn't drink coffee.  So why does he like Starbucks? He says they have the best hot chocolate. He calls it the 'toppest' of top tier hot chocolate.

Take Time for Photos

So what is our hurry? So many times we miss these opportunities for good pictures.  Jerzee's sports Pub near us was well decorated for Christmas this year, especially at their entry.   It was the perfect set up for photos.  It just took us a minute to capture our smiling faces on the way in, before we had gained a couple of pounds eating their delicious food.

Well, the only way I could actually put Christmas layouts on the blog at the right time of year...would be to go  back to the past year. I'm just not wanting to do that. And since it is mostly family who reads the blog, I'll just put them on as I finish them...who knows, as many as I have and as slowly as I'm working, we  could be seeing Christmas all year.  Well that just isn't true since I put a very few of all the layouts  I make on the blog. To see them all, we need the books. Thanks to Shutterfly, we can do that.

Opening Gifts

Two years ago, we were spoiled by having grandchildren here on Christmas Day.  Santa actually came to our house to bring their gifts. It was so much fun to see the glee as they opened their presents from Santa.  Since then, we've had to do our best to imagine the fun on Christmas mornings. Thankfully, we have some very cool photos sent to us online to help us get through it.

This is one  I particularly liked this year, of Julia opening a present to find a little play purse with a telephone, compact, hair brush, keys, lipstick and credit card that we had sent.  I liked when she picked up the compact and powdered her nose. It was even cuter when she picked up the phone and announced that she had taken a selfie.

Jubliant

I found the perfect scrapbooking kit to go with this picture of Mason at Steak and Shake. It was created  by Amanda Fraijo-Tobin at Scrapgirls and called Jublilant. The tile describes Mason's mood very well.

His choice for this meal was certainly a surprise. When he was told to use one of the coupons, he chose the Family Meal Deal. So even though he does not eat bread, he ended up with the meal of his choice. 4 breadless hamburgers, four 'orders' of fries and four cokes.  Yes, he was jubilant...

Curves is Fun

Not only is Curves a good place to go for a workout,  but that is not the only thing one works out there. We also have brain games  that make us think and learn new things. There are games to enhance one's power of observation, where  we need to find  things around the room while we are there. We have puzzles to solve and books to share. We  also develop our social skills while on the track.  We exert ourselves,  stretch, search, joke and laugh at the same time. It is well worth one's money and time.

Angies'

It is really nice having April and her husband Tim close enough that they can visit once in a while.
This day  Tim and April came to celebrate Christmas with us early so that they could spend Christmas Eve  and  Christmas day with their grandchildren.  We were happy to see them. April had also planned to see her uncle Jerry, Ron's brother, while she was here; so she arranged for us all to meet at Angie's for  dinner.  It turned out to be a great visit and  I'm hoping we can do that more often. As a matter of fact, we should do it again soon, since that was nearly  8 weeks ago.

Not so Pretty

As you can see, this was not a pretty picture. It had been a rough time in the fall, after most  of the leaves had fallen making the trees nothing but ugly bark. The grass had died back to a pale winter green.  The only colorful item was the tractor. This is the perfect  situation to document only to remember the unpleasantness of the situation. It would take a double optimist to see something beautiful in this. I didn't take time to decorate it. I'm just telling a story.

Need Any Help?

Help would be nice, but I have grown used to doing things all by myself. My hubby was a very busy man earning a living for the two of us and six kids. He wasn't home much, especially our first 30 years of married life. I could do it then and I hate to give up and say, no, I can't do it anymore. I'm sure the day will come...they already do a day or two at a time, but until them, I'll keep on keeping on.
