Finicky in 1946

This picture was taken of me back in 1946. Doing this album gives me a chance to journal some of my memories. I'm enjoying it and at least one of my kids is a well.  I would love to find a book with my mother's or grandmother's recollections of childhood.  I know we are all different, but just in case someone is interested in the years to come; I hope to have a book published sometime next year.  I had hoped to do it this year.  But it is a time consuming process and must share my hours with all the current happenings.  I don't want to get behind on those.

History is interesting to me, especially now that I am not tested on specific dates and minutiae.  It is true that if we don't know our history, we are doomed to repeat it.  I'm sure, I've quoted  that before in this blog.

Right now I'm counting on the fact that it took a Carter to get a Reagan.  Perhaps we'll see the same phenomenon Tuesday when we go to the polls en masse to oust those who have given us more change than we ever wanted. At least I now have hope that this will be over soon and we can get back to being a Christian nation.  In God we still trust.
