Our granddaughter Lauren was married on Friday. We have known her husband Pat for many years and are happy to welcome him to our family. It was a lavish and beautiful affair, which we had to miss. Thankfully our daughter took a few pictures, one of which I've used in this layout. But better yet, there were two photographers there who took photos over the two day event. I can hardly wait to see them.

At Union Bar and Soda Fountain, Julia was asked if she would like ice cream. It sounded good, but I think she didn't expect what she got. I'm sitting here wanting to dive right in, but no such luck. No ice cream like that here. It is a good thing because I have no business eating ice cream now. Back to Julia. One half hour later, I believe she had had enough.

This morning I came across some pictures that were taken shortly before my being sick the last part of June. I've been wondering why there were so few pictures from that time. Well, now all we need are some longer days, so that I can catch up on scrapbooking. It is likely, the longer days will not happen, but maybe there will be more time to sit at the computer; or better yet, the Lord willing, I'll regain my speed at making layouts. Been spending more time lately looking at older books and now know how great it is to have all the memories stored away in that way. I pray that I can keep this up as long as possible.

The weather was just great. It had been so very hot all summer, in the 80's every day and some days it would rise to the 90's. I was so happy to see 60's and 70's again. But is seems in my old age, I chill quicker. I still appreciate the cooler temperatures. I just need a sweater sometimes. It is a treat to find time to sit on the swing and watch boaters pass us on the lake. It is very relaxing. Maggie enjoys it as well.

I did it. Here is Julia ready to go to her first ballet class. Doesn't she look like she'll be a great ballet dancer? She has great balance and look at that pretty pose.

I haven't accomplished much more today than to have another blood test done. I have had blood drawn so many times this year, I think I should start charging them for my blood. I'm ready to be done... Any way, I confess, I did not make a single layout today...or yesterday. Today I got this picture of Julia who is ready for her first dance class. I couldn't wait to post it. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have a layout.

Yes, I know summer is over. This was back in July. Ava spent quite a bit of time in the pool this year. She totally enjoyed it. She is now back in school. I'm praying it will be a very safe and profitable year in school for her, and for all our grandchilren.
