Shutteerbug

I'm so excited for Patreece. Denny got her a new camera, and a very cool one. It has lots of neat features.

She had arranged for a picnic yesterday. We were happy to supply the pontoon ride to and from the state park. Most would think the weather was perfect. I must have been in the low 90's, much too hot for a fair Yankee like me. But I still had a great time. We met some very nice people. And it was fun seeing someone as enthusiastic about photography as I am. Patreece has published her first book now with My Publisher and should be going with me to the Scrapgirls convention in Salt Lake City this year. She is learning so fast. I anticipate that soon we will be helping each other with our digi-scrapping. However, she is afraid she is not ready for the classes and wants to wait until next year. (Considering our nation's new bent toward socialism, I hope there can be one next year.)

God Created

Genesis 1

The Beginning
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

9 And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it was good.

Cousin Visits

Ron's cousin Sheila has come back north to visit. It is a joy to see her doing well.
Ron enjoys show and tell with his hydroponic garden and she was actually interested. Made his day. She and I had a chance to talk a little politics. We are like minds. Hope she'll venture north more often.

Locks of Love

We are so proud of our Ashley. She has been growing her hair a long time so that she could donate to Locks of Love for a child who is suffering from a long term medical hair loss. God blesses those with generous hearts. She is beautiful outside and inside as well.

Nephew's Wedding

Our nephew Erik and our son John were good buddies growing up in the same neighborhood. Just three months apart and both with big ideas, they had a great time.

John married Beth in 2002. Erik married this past Saturday evening. His bride Elaina is now part of the family.

Best wishes for a long and loving marriage.

Mary Poppins in Cleveland

Last night Denny and Patreece, Ron and I drove to Cleveland for our theater fix. It turned out this was our favorite of this season. It was very well done...so colorful, creative, the acting and singing really good. We sat in a loge at the center of the theater. Ron and I both thought we were exactly in the center. Of course, I was right. (That is not right of center, but CORRECT.)

The whole time, I couldnt' stop thinking about how I would 'scrapbook' this experience. I had it all worked out by the time the show was over. There's one more page in my mind, but I don't have enough pictures of us there to pull it off. Will probably use the background for a layout later. Keep you eyes open and see if you spot it.
