Orange Mountain
I know this is not a good title for the page. The mountain is not actually orange; but the early morning sun has actually made the snow topped mountain look orange!
Our son and his family were in Breckenridge last weekend and snapped the photo at 7:15 AM.
They took some terrific pictures during that weekend. Of course I think so because these kids mean the world to me; but I think they will make some very good layouts as well. You'll probably see a few of them here. Then of course, you can be the judge.
Speaking of children being so important to us, the movie Unplanned is playing now at a local theater. It is about abortion of babies just like your children and mine were.
If you can find the movie near you, you should see it. Those in the business, who want more babies to be killed and dismembered are trying to keep the public from viewing it. They have said it is violent (which really is true of the way they are murdered); so they have rated it R. Sadly that will prevent many, many girls from seeing it, who really should. They need to know the facts so that if they ever need to make a decision about a pregnancy, or help a friend make that decision, they can make a wise one. Perhaps they'll even think more about prevention.

Beautiful Colorado Sun and Snow
I couldn't think of a single thing I could do with this picture to make it better. So when I make my next book, this will take up a page by itself. There isn't any need for words or frames...nothing would improve it.
Oliver, you are really good looking here with the cool red and blue colors you are wearing and the pose you are striking with the bare tree at the top of that mound of Colorado snow. The bright sunlight and blue sky just finishes it off for us.
It's good to know you all had a wonderful long ski weekend.

Hustle for the Muscle
You have heard the old saying, probably too many times, that a picture is worth a thousand words. This one speaks for itself, but I don't know if it even knows a thousand words. It is concentrating on muscle. That and more muscle. Strong is strong!
Our granddaughter, Lauren is with it. She has it. She did it. It hurts my back just to look at this.
God bless her determination. That is a strength in itself.

Mase Face
Mason doesn't look very happy, but it tickles me. These kids are great kidders. Don't think a little art work will cause much trouble.
I'm praying for Mason right now. He is having some health issues. Praying they will find the cause and get him on the road to recovery. He has a loaded schedule and is much too busy to be sick.
We watched our president speak to a very large Michigan crowd this evening. It is so comforting to see for ourselves the progress that is being made in our country. We are getting back on our feet and flourishing, better than we have for decades. So glad to have a man who is not a politician, but one who genuinely cares about our country and our safety. He is working for us, not to line his own pockets.
It is good to be in a free Republic where we are not told every step to take. May we avoid Socialism at all costs.

National Puppy Day
Last Saturday was National Puppy Day and I missed it. So after the fact, I have to show how important my puppy is to me. She is loved so much that she could be spoiled, but as a school teacher and mother, I know better than to do that to her. She is a very good dog. Here she is in one of her favorite spots...
To show how very good she is...she is an accepted member of the life group that meets at our home. She has to make the rounds and let all the dog lovers there know how much she appreciates their presence.
Last night she got very chummy during our meeting, but because she was so cute we all just smiled and let her get away with it. She got up on the back of the sofa and cuddled Lin. Yes, she got away with it.
I would have posted this last night, but I was having computer trouble and my expert had already gone to bed and was sound asleep. As hard as I tried I had this spinning motion going on. The same thing happened this morning, but my 'brilliant' husband was able to fix it for me... quickly! I can't tell you how very glad I am to have a live-in computer guy.

Share a Birthday
Ashley found out that her dad and Pusheen share the same birthday...February 18. She was so excited about that. She 'made' him wear her shirt for a picture. As you will read on the layout, he does not look ecstatic about this, but he did cooperate. Now it is officially acknowledged. They do share their birth date!
Hopefully they don't share any traits.
I really should have a photo of Ashley to go along with this, since it was definitely her who instigated the whole thing; but for some reason, I don't have one of her that day. However, I've added one of Mason and Chelle with Greg earlier that same day.

Proud of Our Children
I know this blog has been a little bit one sided this last week, but I just have to post this one more layout of Julia's birthday. I'm very pleased with the pretty pictures of this little star.
Can you tell I'm proud of all my grandchildren? Does it show? We are very blessed to have wonderful children and grandchildren.
They make me want to do all I can to save this wonderful country so that they will be able to grow and enjoy life as much as we have. Freedom is certainly not something that is found in many areas, especially in 2019. Many, many people are now openly espousing socialism. We must not let our freedom be taken away from us.
Socialism has killed nations over and over again throughout history and the newest country to be suffering through it with their people starving is Venezuela. But even with that happening right out where we know about it, we see many people, mostly those who have not been taught history, praising that oppressive form of government.
I beg of you to think for yourselves and study so that you can help keep us a free people.

Does Mermaid Ava Need Swimming Lessons?
Ava approaches the swimming pool deck very confidently. After all, she is a mermaid. Perhaps she can give the other children some lessons. So glad we have this picture. She certainly is a cutie.

Bowling with Superman
Bowling at Chipper's Lane is something the family can enjoy together. Even Julia joins in. She rarely makes it through a whole game, but her biggest brother helps her out by finishing it for her.
It is wonderful when families do things together. We need to enjoy our children and it also gives us the opportunity to teach them values, etc. that they may not learn at school or from television, movies, phones and computers. Even team sports don't always teach what our children should know about making moral decisions.

I LOVE SCRAPBOOKING
Time has been getting away from me lately. My work has slowed down and I've even been taking naps. In spite of that, I still love scrapbooking and I'm hoping that very soon, I'll be putting it together better and saving more time for this creative love. But for now, I'm just desperately trying to come up with a layout for this blog and tonight...this is it.

Just Do It
I have not done any layouts at all today. I am so excited about these pictures that I'm posting them any way. I'll make layouts later. The top picture was taken Saturday the 16th, on Julia's 3rd birthday. Her family went to the ski lodge that day. They rented her skis as well and she doesn't waste any time. She watched everyone ski and by Monday she was ready to put on her skis.
I do believe her motto is Just Do It.
It was her first time ever and yesterday evening I received a text with a video of her skiing. I know you can't believe this without proof. So, thanks to her Mom, Beth, it is below the following picture:

Julia's Birthday
Yesterday, March 16, was Julia's third birthday. There will be more pictures to see soon, but for today, I have a layout of pictures of her birthday breakfast at Silver Grill Cafe, her families favorite breakfast place. I have to say it is mine as well.
She was wearing one of her birthday presents. It was just what she wanted, I'm sure. She really likes unicorns!
When the crew brought her one of their super cinnamon rolls with a candle and sang Happy Birthday,
she was quite surprised and pleased as well.

Proud Poppa
I just finished this page. I feel good to be caught up to date with my layouts. There are more pictures that go along with these. They may show up tomorrow on this site...depending how the day goes.
So proud to be the mother of John, the grandmother of Caleb and Julia (on her Daddy's lap), and the mother-on-law of Beth. Proud to be Oliver's grandmother as well. (He just wasn't in these pictures.)

Bible Art
I need to stop posting so late at night. I'm always in a hurry and I can't think of anything to say.
This page says it all. This is our daughter, Chelle, with her art work. She paints in a Bible. The verse on this one is I Chronicles 29:17 “I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity.”
Beautiful. Thank you, Chelle.

Rei Ayanami Cosplay
For some reason I was not able to post images last night. My computer expert husband is awake this morning and agreed to help with that problem. So, he just came to the computer with me and as usual, with his standing here beside me the computer magically worked right. Everything did and here is the picture I wanted to post yesterday.
You'll probably think I've decided to publish only pictures of our granddaughter Ashley, since she has been the subject of all the posts for a few days. That is not the case. Just catching up with some pictures I found for Ashley's anime activities this last year. She does make a good subject however.

Finishing the Photo Shoot
I love all the pictures, of which I've just published a few. But of the very many, this last picture is my favorite. I love Ashley's big smile.

Taiga Cosplay
I am copying the text on the first page above. It explains about the photo shoot:
Ashley dressed as the anime character Taiga, which means River in Japanese. Her friend
Jay chose to do her own version of Ami Kawashima, also from ToroDora .
They made the Opryland grounds their cosplay destination.
No one else dressed up, so people assumed Ashley was dressed as an angel for the holiday.
Four people asked to get their picture with the ‘angel’ and one said, let me get a picture
with Santa too! Several people took pictures without asking. It was a fun shoot!
Ashley's mother was the photographer. It was pretty cool that evening, the high for the day had been 60 and as you can see, these pictures were taken outdoors in the evening . But then, I would guess that angels would not get cold.

Love of Dinos.
Sure Oliver. I know what it is. It is an ultrasaurus. I bet you could teach me a lot about dinosaurs. You are very knowledgeable. That is a big word that simply means you know a lot. I love to talk to you. It can be very informative. I can't believe you will be starting school in September of this year. I'm anxious to see you bring home some really good grades.
A is for Apple, B is for Ball, C is for Cat and D is for... yes Dog. But D is also for Dinosaur.
It won't be long until you will be reading. Then you can read to me. You can also read to Julia. That will make her happy, I'm sure.

A Bundle of Love
It so happens that I can empathize with Julia right now. I am sick with a cold and we've had several days in a row of really cold weather and snow. I'm sitting here now occasionally shivering. Yes, we have heat in the house, but I'm still chilly. That's where the similarity ends though. She is a sweet young girl of 2, going on 3 right away. I am a cranky (I am sick, you know) old lady, going on even older.
It has been pleasant to work at the computer today without other obligations to worry about. Yes, there are things I should have done, but...I'm sick.
It has given me more time to think about those in my family and those around me who are facing some really hard times now. It makes me even more thankful that it is just a cold. Thank you Lord.

Kindergarden Program
I thought I had done all my Christmas layouts. I should have, but here is another. This little doll is our great granddaughter Ava. If you frequent this blog, you have probably seen her before. She is there with her mother at her school Christmas program. I don't know the little fellow with her, but aren't they cute?
There are lots of snowflakes on the layout. It is a December in Ohio. But, you know, I really don't think we need to be concerned that she might become a snowflake. She has a mind of her own...meaning she can think for herself and her mother will see to it that she doesn't fall for all the 'I'm a victim' mentality.

Don't Need a Coat
I knew he didn't wear long pants, but I really didn't know the whole story. Here is Aussie walking up to his school.
Just to look at this picture one might wonder about his mind, but if you read what his dad has to say, you''ll know that he is a very bright young man. Being his grandmother, I would still prefer to see him covered from the elements a bit more.

Funny Obits
My girlfriends and I have said for years that we need to get our obits ready to make sure that no one in our families uses a less flattering photo. It's just a joke, I think. But over the years, we have designated certain photos as obit worthy.
Today the conversation came up when I sent out Sali's birthday picture...Here it is:
It made me remember the picture (in the layout at the top here) Ron took of me early last month when I put both earrings in the same ear...and then my response when I noticed what I had done.
I certainly don't want that picture my obit! I would rather they use my bitmoji below.

Pre-Calculus
As of January 15 2019 All three of the triplets are college students of sorts. Along with their Junior year of high school, they are enrolled at Nashville State Community College. Aussie has been there since he began first semester, now his two siblings have joined him there. These two, Ashley and Mason are taking pre-calculus.
Keep up the good work. We are proud of all three of you.
