Halloween has givin us lots of good pictures. I'm going to love making layouts. This is the first one I got; it is of our new great granddaughter, Kindell.

I love these boys...and their little sister and their dad...and their mom. Sad they live so far away. Thank God for FaceTime.

Oliver is a good eater and his mother, Beth, is a great cook. That makes this layout possible.

I'm still catching up...the story of my computer life. I'm not sure I have the info right, but I'm counting on Brandon to correct me if it is not...before I put it in a book.

I have a picture of that old lady who follows me around all the time...

It's been quite a while since we've seen Kim and it's been a lot longer since we've see Woody; so we were really glad to see them here this past few days. Hoping they'll try to make the trip more often. Actually Ron would like them to move here. Even though I'd like that to happen, I realize that just isn't likely they would leave that warmer weather and their daughter Leah. Woody also has a son who lives closer to them there.

Fall is a wonderful thing, but mothers have to let their kids go back to school. Sometimes that can be hard. This family has had a very good summer, with lots of fun activity and Hope had them ready to return to classes. It can be harder to see the last one leave you and home to go off to school with their older brothers and sisters. Reagan is that youngest one at the Byrd house. Here are the pictures to help them remember this day...

I am always happy when my family and friends take a lot of really good pictures; especially those that catch the beauty of God's creation. Here is another layout with our grandson Brandon, taken near the end of August this year.

These are more pictures of Hope and the kids in California. This time, they are at Joshua Tree National Park.

More from Brandon's trip in August. I had put all these pictures in a folder while I worked on all the pictures we took in July, and then forgot about them. They were a delightful find and it was fun to do some layouts.

This is our grandson, Brandon. He gets around a lot. In August he was in the Grand Teton National Park and also Yellowstone National Park. Here he is in Grand Teton with a bison. I love the bison because when I was in college, we were the Lipscomb Bisons.

Oliver is very interested in nature and tells me things I had never known about a species of birds or trees or turtles, whatever. He loves the National Parks. He also likes to dance, so he is taking dance lessons. I can imagine him in a Park Ranger uniform dancing. He's a happy guy in the park.

I've beem hustling trying to catch up, as usual. So far though, I don't have much to look forward to. I've been anxious for fall because I have so many ideas for pages; however, I don't have many fall pictures. So sad, uusually I have quite a few really good ones. Anyway, tonihgt my layout stars Ava, at home after the Stark County Fair in September.

I'm not pleased with this layout of ORU at the Tomato Grill in Hudson, but it is the best I can do with the photos. The lighting was really bad that day at that time. I wish we had gotten a better one, for tomato Grill was one of the favorites of those 'home' from Texas and Arizona.

Hope is April's daughter-in-law and these are her four children. They were visiting Hope's mother in California last month and I have lots of really good pictures from that trip. This is one I particularly like.

Julia is ready for school. She says she isn't learning anything. It seems most children have missed out on a lot while school was done from home. She has missed nothing and has excelerated her learning. Julia is reading well and is writing in cursive in the first grade. And she does it well.

This is the first time I remember doing this. I'm posting a layout that I have not yet finished. I'm pretty excited about it, but I've not yet written anything about the dinner party on it. I'm still looking for another picture, one of the hostess who made it happen.

When we ORU girls got together this past week, we had lots of activities planned. This one was on Thursday afternoon at Becky's house, where she has recently upgraded her craft room. It was the perfect place. We all fit around the table very well. It was like she had planned it just for this get together. We are all thankful for Becky's willingness to share her ministry with us.

Half of our ORU (Opinions R Us) girls have moved south. We continue to be a group dedicated to educating others in every way they will let us. It is a fun group with enough opinions to fix all the world's problems...ALL of them! We are a fun group and it is hard to be separated like we are now. Last week we all, minus one who could not be here, met back in Ohio. What fun we had. We all talk at once and enjoy every minute. In this picture we are at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Ohio where we met another group of 'girls' from California, whose T shirts said, "Girl's Trip, Cheaper Than Therapy".
There is nothing more beautiful that fall in my opinion. This picture was taken from our window overlooking the fire bushes near the lake.

These pictures, taken on Sept 23, were made into this layout on October 1 last week on Digital Scrapbooking Day. I enjoyed making the layout a lot, but of course, I had even a better time just being there with the girls. I'm now looking forward to later this week when even more of us will be at the same place. I promise to get pictures and make another layout.

Saturday, October 1, 2022

This is National Digital Scrapbooking Day. It's been slow but fun. I've had too much work to do and not much time at the computer, but I did a few layouts and this is my favorite so far today. It is our granddaughter Julia and a friend at school being creative.
