Our little dancer is Julia. Here she is all smiles, ready for dance class.

The news from Disney right now is not the best. I certainly hope they get the message from parents and change their approach soon. I'm still glad to post another layout of our son John's family trip to Florida and Disney World this February, before things went completely crazy with those who now run theh park.

As I've said before, Brittanie is really good at finding all the good places to take Ava. Here is another good example...Lazer Tag. They look like pros.

While really looking forward to beautiful spring days, we got up this morning to a ground covered with pearly white snow. Very lovely, but still a bit disappointing. That snow reminded me though that I need to post my last snow picture of this past winter. These are our 'grandchildren' at their sledding adventure site.

John and family visited the Haunted Mansion at Disney World.

Saturday, March 26, 2022

It was a Magic day at Disney's Magic Kingdom. They were welcomed by Peter Pan! What fun!

While at Disney World in February, they were anxious to see Adventureland where they could go on the Jungle Cruise and visit the Pirates of the Carribean; but there was much more to be seen. Check out this layout of the family with Orange Bird.

I remember dry days here, but nothing I've experienced in OH is anything like how dry it is in Colorado. Here is a picture of the kids while on the trampoline today. Look at their electrified hair. Fly Away Hair...

This is how our grandchildren spent their first night at Disney World...

I did it. Now, we all look a little more Irish. Of course Sali really looks Irish with her red hair. While I am quite a bit Irish, the red in my hair has faded over the last few years. Paulette and Katie look good in green. We enjoyed our time together for lunch at Panera.
I'm posting this late, so yesterday, ST Patrick's Day, some of us headed out for lunch after our morning class. Only Sali was wearing green and it didn't show up well in this picture. My whole outfit was green, but not ST Patrick green. So today I plan to turn this into as Irish layout. Stay tuned to see if it happens.

Our youngest granddaughter had a birthday today. She is now six years old! Yes, already 6! I've already told her that my favorite age is 6 because I was a first grade teacher years ago. Sad to say, it will only be a short while until she is in first grade. They grow up too quickly.

This is our granddaughter, Brittanie with her very good friend Kyle.

This is our daughter April and her cousin Tracy. They are with their Uncle Jerry (Ron's brother) and their Aunt Laura. Jerry is a true fighter. We are proud of him.

I haven't yet asked if they were shelling in these pictures, but it looks to me as if they were and I know at one time, they did find some.

A Florida vacation in February is a great break for a family from Colorado.

Tuesday, March 8, 2022

So many great pictures and so little time to make layouts. I certainly cannot waste these pictures that tell the story of their super fun trip to Clearwater Beach. I will just have to simplify most pages in order to make a book to tell the story of a fun vacation. I must admit I've never seen anyone dig a deep hole like this in a sandy beach before. We don't have to imagine. We can see that they struck water.

Monday, March 7, 2022

While Julia continued to dig in the sand; the guys, John, Caleb and Oliver got in the water, which was cooler than they expected, but they seemed to enjoy it anyway.

Sunday, March 6, 2022

On Clearwater Beach it didn't take the kids long. They braved the cooler weather to play in the sand... no hesitation.

Meanwhile, forwad to the present, well close to the present...earlier this week. I made a big old mess in my kitchen after Ron had cleaned the floor for company. I was afraid that something like that would happen again, so I cleaned the fridge of all the leftovers that had remained in there for too long. I hate wasting food, but we just can't buy small enough quantities for two people and we don't have a goat.

Friday, March 4, 2022

It had been almost 2 months since they traveled to New Mexico when they headed to Clearwater Beach, Florida on February 11. It was a cold, snowy winter in Colorado; so they were ready for some sun. Florida is usually the place to be, but this year, it was in the 50's. That is a little on the chilly side on the beach, and especilly on a boat; but it all worked out fine and they had a lot of fun.

Back in Colorado after a trip to Florida, the kids were able to ditch their coats this morning. There was still ice on the ground, but the temperature had risen.

Time is passing faster and faster every day. It seems I get up and it is time to go back to bed. At one time an hour was too long to wait, now the hours pass like minutes did in my youth. Days come and go. Months fly by and years (birthdays) pile up. In order to get anything done, I really have to work on it. Actually, I've always been that way. I know it drives everyone else crazy, but what can I say? I know... Quit worrying about it and GET TO WORK!

I have liked caverns from the first time I entered one. I believe that was the Luray Caverns. In the early 60's my mom, dad and I were able to see the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Ron and I were really glad to hear that our grand children were going there in December. From the pictures it seemed that Julia was a little fightened at first, but by the time this picture was taken she seemed just fine.
