Our anniversary didn't slip by, we celebrated with steak at Texas Roadhouse. We have grown old and fat together. It has been 55 years since we said I do and we did! We have done all 55 with conviction. Over the years we've grown closer. We celebrate our love for each other and for our family. Above all else we place our love for God our Redeemer.

Oliver started this by signing up for Junior Ranger at a National Park in Colorado. Now all three are Junior Rangers.

In my opinion, Caleb looked more comfortable in the second picture taken at Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I think hard as a rock wins here.

We've had a couple of days of thunder storms and I've neglected to post here. But tonight it is clear and supposedly we'll have a very nice day tomorrow. This is a layout with Julia and Oliver. While they were here in July, they hiked through a part of the Cuyahoga Valley national Park...Both of them , plus their older brother Caleb are getting their ranger badges at National Parks this year.

It won't be long now until we will have another great grandchild. Lauren is the pregnant lady here. This is her philosophy.

It's impossible for me to take Maggie in the car now when I have to get out and leave her in it. She loves to go! Soon it will be cool enough to leave her in the car for short times. She does well with all her hair to keep her warm.

I'm now trying to catch up with layouts from July. I have LOTS of pictures and am so excited. Just wish I worked faster than I do now. I enjoy the process, but I really enjoy reviewing the books I've made, so I want to do all I can without missing anything. By the way, Julia is holding the book she had been reading to us.

This was taken last week. I'm posting it because I love these flowers. I don't remember seeing them before this year. I would love to have some in my yard, but I'm sure they wouldn't grow quickly enough to suit me. I'll just have to remember to check them out as I ride in the car. I have seem them at a couple more places since that day. Oh...and I still don't know what they are. If anyone knows, please enlighten me.

It has been a while since I've been to a Tea Room and it is just about time I do it again. Planning to get some girls together and go here to the Dragonfly Tea Room in Canal Fulton soon. Ava, your smile convinced me. Looks like you enjoyed it very much.

Ron is so impressed by this picture of clouds that he would like to display it here, but we have no place for it. He says it reminds him of the power of God. So, I made this layout to help him remember it.

The layout says it all. April is sold on an electric bike after riding both her brother Tim's this week in Florida and now her Uncle Dennie's here in Ohio.

I've had freckles, lots of freckles, all my life and never thought of them as cute, but now that our great granddaughter has a few across her nose, I've changed my mind. Freckles can be very cute! Here is the proof.

On July 12, I posted this same picture. But I recently forgot that I had done that. I made another layout with the same picture. It is not fun getting old, especially when one's memory starts to fail and we forget things so easily. Any way, I think I like my newer version better. What do you think?

At the top, Ashley and Mason are ready to kayak to the ice cream shop farther up the lake. In the bottom picture, I'm just enjoying a ride past the clock tower in the evening with Maggie on my lap.

After being here twice in July, John and his family were heading back to Colorado. They were up early Sunday morning to start the long trip home. The younger two were very tired after having stayed up late to play our game of Rummio before bed. We had neglected to get a group picture, so this was the time for it. It is hard for me to see them leave. They live so far away and Ron and I haven't been doing any traveling for a while. With things the way they are, I really hope to see them again next summer, or sooner if possible.
This is a tradition. Each year, using the same clock they've used since their first birthday, they get their pictures taken with the clock at the time they were born. I remember being at the hosptal during their births. It all happened so fast. Ashley came first, followed by Mason. Then three minutes later came Austin, who has legally become Aussie. I was there for a short time to help a bit with them. It seems like yesterday and now they are 20! The triplets are 20! Time flies!

I missed a couple of weeks posting, I believe with company in town, I didn't have time for this. Now, I'm not only trying to catch up, but I have a large number of fantastic pictures of the family from this summer vacation. I'm also having some trouble with my blog. I am not computer oriented and when problems are thrown at me, I try to dodge them and if I can't, I'm likely to just run away from it; since I have no idea how to fix things and my computer savy husband is getting old and has plenty of problems of his own. By the way I'm getting older as well. I love this picture of Oliver with his fellow actors in June.

I am having trouble with posting on this blog this evening. I hope someone is able to help me soon so that I can post pictures again.

Tuesday, August 2, 2022

We've spent quite a lot of time on the lakes recently. Of course it can never be enough for me. I think I could live in a houseboat here. The pictures in this post today were taken On July 4 when our daughter, April brought her grandchildren and sister-in-law to visit on July 4.

Sorry it has been a while since I posted. It has been a fun summer here and I will start back doing layouts as soon as possible. Here is one of our oldest son, his daughter and granddaughter. Yes, I've posted pictures of them before. It is a joy having grandchildren and great grandchildren. I should be getting more pictures of our youngest grandchildren really soon now. Can hardly wait.
