Our triplet grandchildren celebrate another birthday. This makes 19 in all. We wished them a Happy birthday on the 27th.

Staying in a cabin on Lake Erie has been a lot of fun. Today Caleb built his own Super Sailboat with the help of a class by The Lakeside Wooden Boat Society. He tested it out from a pier in Lake Erie. The big smile on his face tells it all.

This is Cathy Yuhas, fiance of our son Tim. They both live in Florida and have for years. Cathy was raised a mile or less from where we live now, so they knew each other in high school. We are happy that we get to see them again soon, as they are coming 'home' for a visit. ,

One of the best things to do at the lake is to get out on it. We love to take the boat out and enjoy the water. It makes the kids, big and little , happy. Caleb has not yet been captain this time, but he does a good job. It is now Olvier's turn and he is learning to steer clear of other boats and go around buoy's. We have had our ice cream and are heading out for the evening in these pictures.

As I've said before, Ava's mother, Brittanie, finds all the fun places to take her. In this layout, I'm not sure where they were; but as usual, Ava is having a good time.

I started this some time ago, not on purpose, but it was I who turned this counter into a stage. I'm glad I did. It has been a lot of fun. It didn't take long. On the day they arrived, July 4th, Caleb jumped up there. I enjoy the freedom we have to enjoy things like this without beating ourselves up over it. And I enjoyed making this layout so that we can remember these years.

Brittanie and Billy know how to do it up right. They made July 4th come alive. Take a look at this.

One thing I really like about the triplets is their sense of humor. They really tickle me. I loved my grandfather for that and my dad and now my grandchildren, the triplets. Laughing is good most of the time...and it is the best medicine. Sometimes, I have to try really hard to keep from saying something I think is funny when it is not appropriate. Thank goodness that doesn't happen too often.

The trip from Colorado is a long one and they wanted their bikes, since they are all riding together now. So this is what they did... Don't know if I've ever seen that many bikes racked on the back of a car before. Sad that they didn't get a chance to ride them while they were here. The weather was unusualy rainy for July. I hope they are getting a lot of use while they are still in Ohio visiting Beth's side of the family. All these pictures were taken that first day they were here, July 4.

This picture was taken last month. Ava surely does love her cheesecake. I have to say, so do I. Now that is all I can think of...cheesecake. Yummmmmmmy

It was so nice to have the kids visit in early July. We're looking forward to seeing them again before they return to Colorado. I'm spending my free time now scrapbooking (digitally) the pictures that were taken while they were here that short time. I've slowed down, but I still enjoy that creative gene I have.

Boy do I get a kick out of the funny things my granckids say. Since the print is so small on this layout, I'm copying it here: Chelle said: My kids still say the funniest things! Today Mason said, “I realized something today. My Chick-fil-A uniform is made out of 100 % recycled plastic bottles. That means SO MANY lips have been ALL over these clothes!”

I failed to get a group picture while the 'kids' were here. So, I worked on one a bit. On July 4th, we had driven over to the ice cream shop that we usually visit by boat. You might see evidence of that on Oliver's face. At present I can't remember why we drove instead of taking the boat. We did take it out the next day. I should have some layouts later about the fireworks.

I can't believe how long it took me to make this layout. It shouldn't be hard. I've done this for years, but today I just don't seem to have it together...and my computer is doing crazy things. I'll have to get my computer guy (husband) to check it out when he has a chance. Anyway, there are not many of us ORU girls left in Ohio and one who is, Becky, is away on vacation.

Just checking in to say I plan to post a layout tomorrow. I've been totally too busy, but I think I'll be back on the mark tomorrow.

Just a quick post before breakfast...The kids have arrived. Here is a picture of them on the swing .

Just checking in so that you know I am alive and well. It has been a very busy 5 days since I last posted here on the blog. But during that time, I finished and sent to the publisher my latest book entitled, IT WAS A GOOD YEAR ...for flowers. We spent Sunday with friends in church and for lunch. Then Sunday night, our son and his family came in from Colorado. Naturally we've been busy since then making more memories for the next book.
