It is great getting to see the kids in the summer, at least for a short time. I would love to live near them and see them each week. It was a thrill to see Caleb play his trombone in person. So glad they brought it with them. (I have heard it on line. I can talk to him on FaceTime), but this was very special!

Just finishing up a book and noticed I had some random pictures of flowers in our yard from May that I had not used for a layout, so here it is...

Ava gets around and I've been getting quite a few pictures. That bubble tea looks pretty good.

Chelle posted this picture and explanation on FaceBook. I just had to have it in my book, so I made this layout.

I'm still trying to catch up with my layouts. I'm trying to do the new ones while still working on some from the past months. This one is dated May 22! He was 80 at the time. Now he is 81!

While Julia and Oliver love to be the stars, Caleb at 13, is laid back and quiet, attending his own world on the internet. Of course his grandmother is still the same person she was when he was younger and she wants pictures of him. It isn't that easy. It takes effort. On the boat, he was not interested in getting his picture taken, but when I finally told him I wanted a picture, he very kindly gave me a smile. It wasn't easy with the sun in his eyes and the wind in his hair, but it makes me happy.

Julia and Oliver are photogenic and I get many photos of them. They were here in OH last week and so there are lots of pictures. They are nature lovers and I love these photos.

We celebrated the 4th of July on the 8th this year. The fireworks are always on a weekend here. John and family were able to celebrate with us then as well as with Beth's family at Lake Erie on the 4th. Double the fun. Beth had found some cool glow sticks that could be curved and twisted. The kids designed some really cute decorations. Oliver is 'dressed' in his creations.

I reallly should have done a page about someone else, rather than feature Julia two days in a row, but I really liked this picture and had a good idea what I wanted to do with it.

Live and learn. I may be forgetting a lot, but I'm also still learning. I had never seen or heard of Oak Galls, but I found out through this personal experience. Even though I was not looking for it, I did find it interesting.
