Meeting Shrek

In late November, Shrek the Musical was playing at Ft Collins Children's Theater.  This adventure is something to remember. Beth took Caleb. As well as enjoying the show, they were able to meet the cast.

As you can see, Caleb has photos to help him bring back memories for years to come.

He is pictured first with his mommy Beth, both with their Shrek ears. Then at the top we see him with Shrek himself, Lord Farquaad and last of all, the dragon.  It was a fun filled night.

One Teenager

The triplets turned thirteen while I was neglecting the blog. So they are now eighth graders...still homeschooled, but they do attend homeschoolers school once a week.

I can't believe they are already teenagers. And look at this, his student picture for this school year.  Mason is a good looking one at that.

Hoping You Remember How Much You Are Loved

Oliver doesn't remember last Christmas, he just turned 2 earlier in December. He's taking it in now.
It is so much fun to see him with this big brother Caleb learning day to day about life.

Thankfully he has superior teachers at home with both father and mother and loving brother. He has great family friends and church people to show him the way. He even has a dog who has accepted him into his heart. It is the way it was meant to be.

The only thing I would change if I could is the distance he lives from extended family. We would all like to see and hold him in  much more often.

Merry Toppled Tree

Well I'm getting off to a bad start. Don't have time to write about this picture of Ashley and the toppled Christmas tree.  But it all worked out all right.

It's a New Year

I have neglected posting here on the blog for three months. I am sorry. I have felt like I was carrying a heavy load, but I really do enjoy using pictures of our family and friends to make layouts.  I do it almost every day, so I need to take a few minutes to post some of them here. It gives me joy and I am hoping that you will share in that joy as you see them here.

I Can Make it Better

I've heard that one should never redo a layout. It is time consuming and one should just go on to the next layout. However, that is just not me. I save my pages for my next book in a folder. Whenever I make a new layout, if goes directly in that folder.  Then each time I open the folder, I can see all the layouts I've done for the book. After I've glanced at one a few times and think, it is just not right, I must FIX it. So I do. I'm always happier when I think I've done my best.

Two of the layouts  I've posted in the last month have been augmented and I am reposting them now.

Dashing and Bold

One thing about Chinese meals...they have a fortune cookie each time. Here is Mason holding his...Dashing and Bold. Yes, it fits you, Mason.

I'm  pretty bold these days myself. I'm talking to anyone and everyone about the next election. I really want to know all I can about the candidates. I'm reading and reading. I'm watching their speeches and analyzing them.  Some candidates are surprising me. Some are disappointing.   I will be commenting here from time to time. Stay tuned.
