It is a good thing we didn't spoil our kids like we do our dog in our old age. It would have big one big train wreck. Thankfully all six of them grew up to be great people, independent and good Christian citizens. Although our dog loves everyone, I'm not sure she would be a good citizen. She sure looks lazy here...of course I do have to make excuses for her. She is 8 years old, so maybe she is getting closer to retirement age in dog years and just needs to relax a while. Yes, she is spoiled rotten.

It was sad that Ron and I couldn't attend the wedding so soon after we had Covid. We are very happy to have some pictures. This is one I really liked. It is not like most wedding pictures. It is imaginative. Lauren and Pat do love their cats and I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't know all three names and I wouldn't want anyone to feel badly about that. I mean like a dog would be very unhahppy if I forgot it's name; but a cat, that is a different thing all together! A cat would probably be mad and never ever forgive me.

Yesterday I posted a layout of Oliver's School picture. Today Julia is the star. She is Oliver's younger sister. Even though Oliver protects her, she is a strong girl on her own. She stands up and speaks her mind...at least she has in the past. I'm anxious to see if school changes that in any way. Go girl. I love you, Oliver and your oldest sibling Caleb. All are great in my book. You use your minds well. You have been 'schooled' well at home by a mother who was a teacher.

For years we had beautiful swans here at the lakes. They used to come up to me and get the morsels I'd give them. However, after some time, there were people who were at odds with them. Supposedly they had attacked some of them on their skis. And then the war began. Those in charge of taking care of the lakes were convinced that they should go; so they found all of the swan's nests and broke their eggs. It didn't take long for the beautiful birds to be completely absent from our lakes. I was sad. You can understand how happy I am to have a couple here again. Perhaps I'll get the chance to feed them again sometime.
