Bonfire

This is the time for bonfires and S'mores. It seems everyone loves those marshmallow, graham cracker, chocolate creations. Since I've never been a camper, one had never crossed my lips.
Well this was the first time. I just wanted to taste Ron's. But he made me a whole one. I ate the whole thing and enjoyed it; but can truthfully say, I think it will be the last one. They just are not worth all the calories. As Phyllis says, I might as well just apply it straight to my hips.

This has been a good day. Election day was yesterday and has given us a glimmer of hope for conquest in 2010. Seems like the people have been awakened to their fate if something isn't turned around quickly. I am praying we will turn back to the LORD and HE will hear our cry and save us from the enemy within.

Rainbow on My Bible

It was a joy for me to see this rainbow streaming across my Bible on Sunday morning in church.
It means a lot to know that God has made a promise to us and set the rainbow in the sky to remind us periodically. He promised he would never again destroy the earth by flood.

However, it will be fire next time.

Less Than Perfect

The title might be a little misleading. ORU is still perfect. It is the group shot which is not.
Six out of nine of us were together Saturday; so we grabbed the opportunity for a photo.
We really needed a fall layout. We rarely (can't remember when) have had everyone together.

The scene is lovely and although the lighting was bad, I was able to fix that.
However, poor Jill's lower face was hidden behind Jane's head. Although it would be difficult, it could be fixed if only I had another pic with Jill's full face on it. Didn't happen this time. Oh well, I had to put something on the blog that isn't perfect. LOL

Pretending We are Friends

At the Scrapgirls Convention, everyone was super. Digital scrappers must be the nicest people anywhere. That is where I met Ro, after having read her blogs for quite a while. I feel like I know her and can relate to her loves and struggles. She does like chocolate way more than I (LOL) , but other than that we see eye to eye. I feel like a groupy or something since she started Scrapgirls and I am only a 'customer'.

Sweet and Sassy

Phyllis and I had the opportunity to visit Polaris last Saturday. What a great time we had.
This 'sweet' car was our first find. Then came Von Maur where we began trying on identical clothes. The clerks laughed and said that we had been friends much too long.

We actually ended up buying these jackets alike, hoping that we wouldn't end up wearing them at the same time. But then who knows? It might be fun. LOL

That Glow

That Glow is because Beth is expecting a baby boy. Of course, he will be the cutest, smartest, sweetest boy born since 2002, when his cousins Mason and Aussie made their appearance. The whole family is excited and can hardly wait. But then, Beth is the one doing all the work now and naturally is more anxious than the rest of us.

Leaves of Fire

In the last few days I've developed a bad habit of taking pictures as I drive down the road.
It isn't enough just to see this beautiful artwork on our way to and fro; I need pictures to remember throughout the year.

Speaking of remembering, it seems like many have either forgotten where socialism took every country where it has been tried in the past. Or some perhaps want to be all powerful and control the 'little people' who would be subjects to them. Yes, history tends to repeat itself. Stop, read history, think and don't let those who would enslave you do it. Vote them out of office before it is too late to go back. To repeat what I've heard many times lately,"How's that hope and change working out for you?"
