Let There Be Light

I didn't get hold of this picture made in June until recently. I love the light playing over Caleb as he sits under a structure on the playground.

As I look around this fallen world, knowing that much activity is saved for darkness these days...but  worse, things that should be done under the cover of night are sometimes being done blatantly in bright daylight.   I'm praying God will shine His light brightly and bring us to the light.

We are becoming a joke around the world these days as our president tries to snow others as he has the naive unlearned  at home.

A Repetitive 'Mind'

Happiness is a Cheerful Companion

It is great to see the relationship grow between our three year old grandson and his dog who was an 'an only child' for years before Caleb came along.  

Golden Grab

This is a big deal to me. A Golden Grab...I'd never heard it called that before, probably because I've really not been around baseball that much.

It's  kind of like a president reaching into the Congressional realm and grabbing some power for himself.  Even though it doesn't belong to him and everyone knows it doesn't belong to him, he gets away with it and carries it back to the White House.

Don't get me wrong here. While I'm a little excited about the newly acquired baseball, I am not the least bit happy about the loss of power Congress has been suffering.  You see, our government only works properly with a balance of power as it was designed by our forefathers.

Just LIke Old Friends

If this picture piques your interest, you might want to read the journaling. It has been a journey for these two this summer. One 14 the other a puppy, they have learned to love each other.

Our congressmen are fighting like cats and dogs right now over our national budget.  I hope and pray that they will listen to the people and not increase the debt limit. We would be truly incompetent to continue running up bills for our grandchildren to pay.  I pray we will become financially responsible.

And please pray that all will be civil. We have been told that the Grand Canyon park has been closed by officials from the government, even though local businesses have agreed to pay the costs of it remaining open. It is just a power play by those who want to punish the people and make it look like the House is trying to hurt our citizens.   It is the president and his staff that decide where to cut back.  While they are barring entrance to our parks, we are still supporting illegal aliens with checks. It doesn't make any sense at all.

More complicated things are going on in our nation this week. The promised Obamacare is now welcoming you to sign up for your marvelous new insurance.  Many are finding it not only complicated and time consuming to sign up, but extremely disappointing in that it generally gives one less coverage at a super high cost. Those who have had insurance are finding the new plan costs twice as much as what they did have and covers much less. Those who did not have insurance...and these are the people the plan was supposed to be a godsend for...cannot afford it at all. It would be impossible for them to pay such outlandish costs.  

You might want to search the internet yourself for more information. There are LOTS of truly disappointed people out there. Sadly they already voted for this president. It is too late for them to do much of anything...until the next election. And I imagine that one will not be a free election like we are used to here in the states. They are already trying to legalize hoards of people, hoping they will vote for the party who promises to give the have nots everything the haves now own.

Caleb Had a Little Goat

As some of you know, I try to  post a new layout every day.  Many times they are so so. Seldom do I sit back and sigh at what I think is a masterpiece.  Don't get critical now. It is my opinion and I'm entitled to it. lol

I have lots of pictures to work with right now, including vacation pictures taken by John and Beth in picturesque settings like Vail, Colorado. I am anxious to use those beautiful  pictures, but this one has been catching my eye. Every time I passed it by, I wanted to go back to it.  Well, today I pulled it up and it made me think of Mary Had a Little Lamb.  So I went with that.  Then I pulled up some more vintage looking elements for the background, plus a little 'aged' tape to finish off that antique look.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I.

I earnestly pray that this little fellow is able to grow up free to go his own way and free to worship our Lord, Jesus Christ. We could never do too much to curtail the damage that is being done to our Republic. Pray that our God in heaven will see  fit to save our nation as a safe place for Christians.

In the Bible , the book of Jonah tells a story of the city, Nineveh. God said he would destroy it because of their wickedness. He called upon Jonah to go to the city and warn the people of the impending danger. Jonah did not like the Ninevites, so he tried to hide from God so that he would not have to go. However, that was a very bad idea. (No one can hide from the creator.) Jonah ended up being swallowed by a whale. When he was thrown up on land, Jonah continued his quest to hide.  But in the end, he did go to Nineveh and told the men and women that God would destroy them if they didn't repent and turn from their ways. They heeded the warning and God did not harm them.

Please turn your faces to God and ask Him what it will take to save our nation.

Treasure Golf Rivalry

It seems like I should have posted this layout before, but I can't find evidence that I actually did. So he  goes... pictures to show you Lauren's and Pat's day at Treasure Golf.  Looks like they may a bit competitive, right?

Something like the House and the Senate.  The House is trying to get this government healthcare defunded, since the people don't want it.  But the Senate are old died in the wool liberals who want to spend, spend, spend...like the more we spend, the more we have. I'm not sure who ever came up with that theory, but certainly anyone who runs even a household knows that if you spend all your money, you are in big trouble. You can't spend money you don't have.

The House said they would go along with the healthcare mandates, if the President and  the Senate would make sure all Americans get the same advantage as businesses and those in government positions. As of now, they both get exemptions that everyday citizens don't.
