Mickey Mouse Pretzel
How can one fight the temptation of a large, salty pretzel like these at Disney? Yum. And why should one fight it? I can think of no reason...well maybe a few, but hey when at Disney...
Ashley made the most of her super snack. I love this picture.
Now I'm speaking of my own divergence from dietary smarts. But first, today was a good day in that after a good morning worshipping the Lord at church, we grabbed a meal at Chipotle and took it home. However while Ron was ordering, I realized I had left my phone at church. I had hurried to speak with a young couple after service, leaving the phone on the seat. Since we were leaving soon to drive to the OH/ WV line to pick up our daughter (Kim), I was pretty upset. Ron tried to think of someone who could bring us the phone, but I knew that would be too much trouble for them. I decided I could make the 40 drive to and from church and get a fill up at Sam's Club on the way. I left Ron with the request to call church hoping someone had or would find it for me. Well God wanted us to make the trip for Kim, so he made everything smooth for me. No red lights and someone to see the text, find the phone and have it waiting for me as I entered the assembly hall. I made it back home in less than one hour in time to leave and meet April and Kim just over the River at Williamstown.
Now back to may dietary divergence...I have had a LOT of sugar today. Not sure why, just something easy to grab and I think sugar often leads to sugar...It doesn't satisfy me, but begs for more. I ate a white chocolate chunk cookie, several yogurt covered pretzels and an ice cream bar. Not smart. I am ashamed. Truly. Praying I can stay away from sweets tomorrow...all sweets!

Disney's Haunted Mansion
Aussie visited the Haunted Mansion. I wish he had more time. I'd love to read his description of the house and the ride through it. He has a way with words.
His grandmother (moi) however, is not so gifted, although I would like to be able to make a story come to life. I've often, much earlier in my life, thought I'd like to write an autobiography. However, reality generally hits me soon after that thought makes its presence known. Who would read it? Who would want to read it? Well, that truth has kept me from seeking out a publisher. I certainly wouldn't want to make those closest to me feel guilty for not wasting time between the covers...of that book!
So glad I'm not trying to get in time to write right now. Things are very busy around here. Much busier than I would like at my age... What is this thing I've heard about retiring and resting? Does that really happen to some people? Sometimes I am ready.
When I begin to think like that, I stop and think about our President Trump. He has worked diligently long, long hours all his life. And he has a lot to show for it...even a family who keeps up with him.
At a time when he has the resources, he could sit back and watch. But he, selflessly jumped in to save our country from the direction it was falling so quickly. He works seemingly tirelessly like a young man day after day. Truly altruistic in his actions, he steers our country for the benefit of all the citizens.
May God bless and protect our president and all those who faithfully serve in places of authority in our government. And may He help us know those who are in the 'game' for their own self interests as they are.

COLORFUL
Now, here is a way to have fun with hair color. Spice it up a bit! Ashley went all out with dyes.
Is this really my grand daughter? I'm the one who wants to stay away from dying my hair. Mine grows so fast and I always figured if I colored it, I would have to do it every other week, because... it grows so fast! I would always have roots of natural color showing. It would also be too expensive and way too much trouble. Thankfully I don't really need to dye it yet. Although I don't ever plan to, I'm sure there will come a time when it looks like I should. Perhaps when that happens, I should let Ashley give me something a little different. Then no one would notice my new growth or even my wrinkles.
Might be worth a try. LOL
But even though Ashley can pull it off...I'm sure I could not.

We Now Know
There are lots of fun things to do at Disney World. And there are plenty of opportunities to use one's imagination as well. Ashley and Mason with their cousin, Blade, were able to ride a wave without getting the least bit wet.
While life goes on here in the states, tonight we learned there have been multiple strikes on the Syrian Air Base Shayrat due to the unthinkable chemical warfare affecting innocent children in that country.
Now they know where we stand.
President Donald Trump said in a statement. "Tonight I call on all civilized nations to join us in seeking to end the slaughter and bloodshed in Syria, and also to end terrorism of all kinds and all types."
He also stated from Mar-a-Lago, "No child of God should ever suffer such horror."

Cabbage for Julia
What a cutie. So glad for cell phones. Remember all the shots you've missed over the years because you didn't have a camera ready? Boy, I do. But now, there is no excuse. It seems everyone carries their phone everywhere they go, even if it is just to the bathroom. You think not? I've heard of several people needing to know what to do for their cameras that fell into the toilet!
The thing is, now we can catch these common, every day occurrences, moments that were not planned and just came up out of the clear blue, like when Julia found a head of cabbage.
And speaking of common. Max Lucado talked about our common lives a few days ago:

Theater with Greg
I thought I had caught up with my pictures and have been celebrating. But then a few hours ago, I discovered a few that I had missed...and of course they would be too good to skip, so here you are...a layout of our son-in-law Greg and our granddaughter Ashley with Scott Derrickson, director of Dr. Strange, Deliver Us From Evil, Exorcism of Emily Rose and other great films. If you read the layout itself, you will learn more about the people they met that day at Lipscomb College of Entertainment and the Arts in early December of last year.
I believe Greg was born with theater in his bones...and of course Ashley's genes must have been affected.
Speaking of genes of a different kind and spelled jeans, mine are tighter today after eating way too much this weekend, then while trying to cut down today, eating the wrong things. Tomorrow, I must get back to my regular restricted diet that keeps me on a more stable path. I don't weigh any more than I did last year, but I am shorter.
I'm sure I'm not the only one fighting this endless battle.
Enough...or perhaps...way too much about me. We need to think about our nation and it's path, which could actually go toward the Great Again, or it could go the opposite way of the failing socialist countries. It will most likely go one way or the other. Both sides are spirited and determined to either bring us back to sanity and prosperity or to kill us with communism. We all need to do our parts. If nothing else, vote (even in local elections where socialists like to get their feet in the door) and above all pray for God's will to be done.

Julia Climbs
We Face Timed with John and family tonight and saw first hard that Julia climbs on everything. Not expecting her to scale Mt Everest in the near future, but who knows? She has that drive. And she has two big brothers leading the way.
Well, I know this is hard to believe, but I'm trying to cut down on time reading the news. Of course, I have really been over dosing on it and to no avail, since I have no authority to change a thing. Don't worry. I'll still keep abreast of what is happening, but will try to not over stress myself with it all.
I WILL NOT, HOWEVER, HIDE MY HEAD IN THE SAND! Things are too fragile right now with so many vociferous radicals who are intent on burying our freedom. I will know what is happening and continue to identify those who are off track. I will pray consistently for God's will to be done on earth. I will just try not duplicate what I already know by reading the same things over and over. I have so many sources that I am doing just that. I now have confidence in whom to trust and need not read so broad a spectrum of articles...all on the same subjects.
I encourage all to pray for God's guidance and for his will to be done.
