We have lots of Canada Geese in Ohio. As pretty as they are, they are not really welcome here. Their excrement is too plentiful. We have a big problem with them around the lakes. There are very large flocks of them, leaving their stuff wherever they go. Some have little fences to deter them from coming out of the lake and on to people's docks and lawns. Some set up moving objects in an attempt to scare them away...and those with more time to spend, often scare the geese with fire crackers, etc.
Sometimes animals will scare them away with their barks, etc.
On this farm in CO, it seems that the geese feel very welcome. This one is much more friendly than any I've seen around here.
Of course, Julia is a very likable little girl.
