Caleb and the Pony

As I've said before, Caleb really enjoys his farm class. It is good to see him with the animals, since I like them so well myself. God's creatures are so interesting and those that are easily trained are a delight.

Our creator God is a loving god and we are blessed to be his people.  I have been praying more, thanking Him for all He has done and asking Him to once more save this people from destruction.

Dear God in Heaven, Holy is your name and blessed are we to be your people.  We ask, Father, that you will heal those who are sick and comfort the broken hearted.

Forgive us, father, when we take your gifts for granted.   Many times we fail to give thanks for all you have provided for us, from water to soil that grows our food and clay that is used to make bricks.  Often, you hear us complain that the water isn't perfectly clear, or the soil is just dirt on our sidewalks.  Let us remember that what you gave us is perfect, but that we have not always done with it what you would like.  You first gave us Eden and we sinned.  You gave us a way to work together and build great cities and we sinned. You gave us great wealth in this nation and we became materialistic.  You gave us a Christian nation and we have become immoral.  We have become self centered and have neglected to live out loud the life you taught us by example.  We have become fearful and we neglect to stand up for your truth.

You gave us a government to protect us and we have expanded it and now it is trying to make us do what in wrong in your sight.  We pray for churches and even businesses like Hobby Lobby that are being forced to go against their consciences and pay for abortions.  We beg your forgiveness, Lord.  God you have said, "If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Help us heed your scriptures.  In Jesus name, AMEN
