Little Rookie Fireman

Some firemen were across the street teaching one of their men how to get water from a lake for fires.
They saw Caleb watching intently and called him over to 'help'.  Beth gladly took him  and let the little 'rookie'  'drill' with the fire fighters. He was really excited to sit in the drivers' seat and hold the hose. One of the firemen has a boy a couple months older than Caleb and was glad to see this little towhead be so interested.

This is the 40th day of prayer for this election. It looks at this point that we will need to fervently pray for the next four years that we can retain our religious freedom.  It is not looking  good. I'm not sure where all the new voters came from, but they surely have flooded the polls with votes for government control of all money and redistribution of wealth.  "They" evidently don't realize we had the best health care in the world and want a plan that will ration care and cost us more than we have been paying, since now the government has to get it's hands on the money first.

I just want to go to bed and wake up four years later with a new president, but I must control myself and accept whatever God's plan is for me.

More and more, I'm depending on others for the right  words.  This was sent to me today from a friend who doesn't want any credit for it. We'll give God the credit.

"Today is a big day.  No matter what the outcome of the election, we need to remember:

'Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established.  The authorities that exist have been established by God.'  Romans 13:1

We need to support our leaders, whoever wins tonight. They were put there by God.  We need to pray that God will continue to give us favor over other nations as he has in the past.  Most importantly, we need to stop the hate, and remember God is in control of everything.   EVERYTHING"
