I wrote about Bee earlier, I believe. On May 20, she reached 100 years of age. She is in very good shape, lives alone and reads a book every day. She has a friend, named Greeta, who will be 100 in September of this year. Coming up behind them is Rita, who will be 93 next month. I feel so young when I'm with them. I guess one could say that age is relative.
Many of us have become very concerned about the number of years John Boehner has been in Congress. He generally talks a good game, but he hasn't been sticking to his guns enough against Obama.
Now, however, he seems to be taking some of the president's overreach of power seriously. He is suing. "The House will vote next month on legislation authorizing a campaign-season lawsuit accusing President Barack Obama of failing to carry out the laws passed by Congress, Speaker John Boehner announced on Wednesday.
In a memo distributed to House members, Boehner accused Obama of "aggressive unilateralism" and said if left unchecked, it would give the president "king-like authority at the expense of the American people and their elected legislators."
Sounds like he has finally put two and two together and decided something must be done to save his place in the Republican party as well as defending us against the dictatorial manner in which our present president rules.
We need to stand behind those who are standing firm on the Constitution.
