Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

This is Aussie, our teenaged grandson. He loves his cat, but that's not all. He has a wide area of interests, from Chinese to Rubik’s Cubes, computer programming and now writing.
As his dad posted on FaceBook, “we are very proud of him, as he earned not one, but two silver key awards for the two literary writing pieces he submitted to Scholastic. One was about our neighbor, American war hero, Bruce Ware and the other was about his own experience in the hospital with the flu and pneumonia.”

Always busy, yet more than willing to help when help is needed.

Not all young people are snowflakes these days. I love watching  Aussie, Mason and Ashley as they mature and broaden their interests.

Keep up the good work, you all. Love you.

And for those of you who just can't get over the fact that your candidate lost in the last election, grow up. It is time to take care of yourselves. Do whatever it is you do best and carry on with life. You still have the freedom in this country to do that...as long as you obey the law.
