Samuel

One of the biggest joys of our Thanksgiving this year was having Samuel there with us. You can tell that he was quite the star of the day. We also enjoyed having him along the next day when we toured Winterthur. He was a trooper. What a precious baby Jerod and Hope have. We are proud to have him in the family.

On a completely different track, I have an opinion I just can't keep to myself.
If your ancestor committed a murder and got away with it, can they send you to jail for the evil that ancestor did? NO.

But...'your' liberal government has just ruled that since your ancestors, or their neighbors, or anyone else in the country in which you now live had a slave or took land from an Indian by force... you, your fellow citizens and your children have to reimburse the heirs of the people wronged hundreds of years ago. Yes, that is correct. American Indians (from whom I am descended) and black farmers are to receive a total of $4.6 billion in disputes. That is our money!

Oh, and that is not all! Our president has said he would 'continue working to resolve other lingering complaints of historic discrimination, including from women and Hispanic farmers.'

  1. Oh good grief! Maybe it is time to claim our Choctaw/Creek/Cherokee heritage? Then we could keep our money?
